Let’s delve deeper into the fascinating journey of our featured winemaker for April… Kym Teusner.
Hailing from the heart of South Australia, Kym’s passion for wine ignited during his days navigating the bustling restaurant scene in Adelaide. A serendipitous encounter with a Barossa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon sparked a flame of curiosity, leading him on an odyssey through the world’s renowned wine regions of Napa, Sonoma, and The Rhône.
Fuelled by this passion, Kym embarked on a quest for knowledge, studying Oenology at the prestigious University of Adelaide and honing his craft during an enlightening internship at Torbreck. Partnering with like-minded visionary Michael Page, Kym birthed Teusner Wines in 2002, setting the stage for an extraordinary journey in winemaking.
Each bottle from Teusner Wines is a testament to Kym’s unwavering commitment to quality and authenticity. From the inaugural vintage of Joshua to the latest triumphs of Utopos, Common Ground, and Moments of Clarity, Kym's wines epitomize the essence of Barossa, capturing the purity of varietal character and the harmony of their surroundings.
